September 2023
We spent an excellent weekend with our German friends in Höxter. The Landesgartenschau, held in the grounds of Corvey Abbey, was a source of fascination and pleasure. Sustainability displays, floral, agricultural and musical events were presented in magnificent surroundings. The hospitality, as always was excellent! We look forward to their return to Sudbury in September 2024.

Twinners enjoyed an excellent weekend in Fredensborg, with the added bonus of beautiful weather.
We saw a thrilling open-air performance, by the Danish National Theatre, of Ragnarok in the open-air at Ulvedalene.
An evening meal in Tivoli Gardens, and an art course with well-known Danish artist Marianne Gross were greatly appreciated by all the visitors.

Our friends in Clermont de L'Oise celebrated 50 years of twinning with their German partner town of Vohburg -an-der-Donau. There was a wonderful meeting of friends old and new, with music from the Statdkapelle Vohburg and the Harmonie Municipale of Clermont. (fbook)
October 2022
After the lifting of Covid restrictions, it was a special treat to visit our friends in Clermont de L'Oise again. We travelled by Eurostar, a new experience for many of us, and were warmly welcomed. We enjoyed many visits in the locality, and it was a pleasure to revive our twinning links.
